We all register a first impression, but is it always right?

As corporate image consultants, we often discuss the power of the first impression and how you can use that to your advantage. But in each of our business image and personal brand presentations there is always someone who says that they don’t judge people based on a first impression.
First impressions are us
Oh yeah? The truth is we all make visual judgements. Part of our survival mechanism as human beings is the ability to very quickly visually identify someone as a friend or a foe. We unconsciously make these snap decisions all day long.
Does your personal brand scare people?
We need to be aware of what impression we are creating because it takes a very enlightened person to see beyond the first impression. This hilarious video shows it sometimes takes a very brave person or couple. I like to think we would have stayed to see the movie. What about you?
