Better than a cruise
Last November I got to meet some fabulous women and present a fun series of image and dress seminars for the JPL Christmas in November at the beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. It was my first time for Christmas in November and if you haven’t been, it’s like a cruise especially for women in the mountains.
Warning – it’s addictive.
Great food, great tips and advice to make Christmas and life more fun and more enjoyable. People attend this fabulous Fairmont getaway from around the world and many have been coming back for years.
We had such a great time that I was hoping they were going to ask me back. And I just heard from them, we’re going back! As an image consultant, I presented dress seminars on tips for dressing for your figure type which was a surprise hit in the Jasper Park Lodge program which featured workshops, tastings, advice and tips from celebrity chefs, mixologists and decorators. (Caution – name dropping below.)
A little name dropping
I don’t like to name drop but … Like all of the attendees we got to wine and dine with celebrity chefs Ken Kostick, Anna & Michael Olson, Gail Hall, Elizabeth Baird, Julie Van Rosendaal and Michael Smith. As well as celebrity decorators like Karl Lohnes and Edmonton Journal columnists Liane Faulder, Chris Standring and the very funny Scott McKeen. (Scott attended one of my dress and image presentations and good-naturedly allowed us to do a makeover on him)

Last year the weather was so warm at the beginning of Christmas in November that we got in some hiking and Terry got to kayak and do some fishing before it froze.
He is already salivating at the thought of the great food and activities in Jasper. (Anticipation of CIN is a little hard on his vow of living more in the moment as per Eckhart Tolle’s book The Power of Now. But Terry is trying to live more in the present, honest)
